Define: Hipocracy

See! This is why I am not in political communications; I would shoot myself:

The White House declared its opposition yesterday to a bill that would give the District its first full seat in the House of Representatives, saying it is unconstitutional, and a key Senate supporter said such concerns could kill the measure. (WASHINGTON POST)

If the president is so adamant about the spread of democracy, why in all hell is he opposing the residents of the District of Columbia (who pay more than their fair share of federal income taxes - bty) having representation in Congress?

Taxation without representation = unconstitutional.

‘Nuf Said.

…and all we got was 2 bloody hours off?

Call me a whiney, temperamental southerner but this just isn’t fair. D.C. gets hit with a nor’easter, an ice storm and all we got was a two-hour delay! TWO HOURS!!!

If I had a list of things I wanted to do before I left D.C. in August, at least one of them would be spend an entire day, snowed in and frankly, being paid for it (w/o burning an annual leave day). I know this sounds unfair and a bit silly but I am sitting in my office right now (yes boss, I am blogging during office hours - there are exactly 2 other people in my side of the 80 person office that showed up; deal with it) realizing that there might be one or two projects at max I can work on.

There is no point in today…I mean; at all.

And don’t even mention V-Day to me…if you are home with your (in)significant other today, turn to them and if they haven’t bought you jewelry; slap them.
